Hi, my Quad IV-c is showing a really dark image on the camera and its VERY difficult to see the components pads to make the adjusts. I already check the monitor brightness (at maximum and I can see the crosshair, so the monitor is good) and already

For the first time, I'm really looking at to the power transformer for the IV-C pick and place (the big big one, at the middle). As I understood, is this transformer converting the 220V to 127V? I realize that the camera monitor is 127V and the PC PS

I can't answer your question as it's been way too long since I did any Quad IVc work, but at some point bobpan will probably reply and give you exactly what you need.

Hey everyone, Our company just picked up a Quad IV C/115 pick-&-place system from one of our offices that closed, but we do not have the documentation for it. It looks to be a very old system so I can't find it anywhere online and we just don't know

Check with: http://www.goppm.com They are a good resource to have if you are supporting a Quad machine. Insert standard "I receive no benefit nor compensation from the aforementioned company"

yes it's moving at the wrong pitch, about 3 components a time. Is the programming you talking about at the microcontroller AT85C55 or that serial memory 24C04? Or there is some procedure on the Quad to adjust this?

A Quad IV C would fit your application well. They are work horses. Repair parts are available but they just don't seem to breakdown often.

JMW, Thank you for your reply. Can you add the upward camera to this machine that does not have it after purchase? If so what is involved? I do have typically two items per board that would be below 25 mil pitch.

To add the camera to the machine would have a lot involved......including possible software/firmware upgrade. I would say buy a machine that already has it on it. To find the parts and upgrade it would probably cost more than the machine is worth. Ho

Definitely agree with JMW, most machines you find will already have the upward looking camera unless it was the first (or second) head in a multi-head system. I would not look at a C-series without the upward looking camera
