On over printing, the general issues are: * Paste deposits being so large that when reflowing, collapse onto many, rather than a single solder mass. * Paste expanding during heating and being close to other solder deposits and bridging [as you say].

Can't help you with the machine, but have you considered stencil printing? I have found that this seems to be a better (more repeatable) process than the dispensers I have used in the past (FUJI).

Russ, Are you placing 0402's on glue by using a stenil at present? I am afraid the appertures will be too small for the glue to release from the stencil. Are you having any issues with this? Thank you for the reply. Mike
