Hi Grant, You'll need to move the nozzle changer on your machine if you want to run very big boards, it comes out quite easily. (It's single track & not set up for RAM or PTIF, no shuttle & standard handling) Cheers, Rob.

Depends on how many nozzles you will need for the larger board - if its 8 or less (4 per head) then you can take it out. You shouldn't have too many problems with this as with your setup you have one for small stuff & one for big stuff.

Has anyone compared Mirtech with Yestech? I've done a demo with both machines using our own board and data and found that the Yestech was easier and took less time to program but that's a pretty small sample. Any input appreciated.

We would need more info to answer. How many boards get run between de-drossings? How many days between de-drossings? Are you removing dross only or some good solder with it? Jerry

3M jetmelt. A bit better than off the shelf reg hotmelt. Also use a GE white RTV. Never had any caps come off the board with either. DG

Hi Dave, How/why is the 3M better? Sounds like you did some research and was wondering if reg. ol' hot melt might cause some other problems to the board. I bet the 3M costs a bit more too.

The NXT is more costly and has board size issues when it comes to CM applications. There are some other threads about the NXT machines.

So far this is what I found and have not had any problems since. There was a big chunk of the belt torn halfway off and I had to cut part of it. Also there was a connector loose on one of the boards. Thanks for all of your advice.

Rob, The first thing I checked was the profile, just for that reason. We've profiled the board with thermocouples on both sides of the battery clip and the profile looks good.
