It can be used as a sales tool. Choose a CPK you want, then "adjust" your definitions and limits untill you achieve that. Just be prepared to explain that someone who is unavailable for explainations set up the SPC system, and you are just following

I guess I took too much time editing my response. :P The bottom line is that unless you're measurements are at least as repeatable and accurate as your machine's closed loop systems, it's a waste of paper *BUT* makes nice wall art for tours. I like

yes SPC can be used on a wave solder machine, you should use a c-chart to monitor the amount of defects per board or group of boards, this will let you know if your process is stable, as you improve your process you should re-calculate your UCL, hope

Hello, According with quality standards TS16949 ,QS 9000 etc. improvement can be perform when the process is stable and capable. So, if DOE is method for improvement it is a good idea, first to run SPC for investigation process stability and capa

Tg and reflow

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 16 18:37:10 EST 2005 | mdemos1

Hi. I am trying to understand Tg and how it relates to reflow. With the higher temperatures of lead free, we have been looking toward laminates with a Tg of 180 instead of the current 140. My question is a little more general. In either lead free

One important thing to look at, when buying an AOI is the False Calls Rate, along with tact time of machine to inspect the PCB. Obviously, many machines can do the the work....but it's also true that each machine differ from the way it do the work. S

We have been pretty successful with screen printing glue, however the smallest component we now glue is a 0805. We had many problems using our Gemini II to put down glue dots for a 0603, so we altered the pads to do double-side reflow. As our own int
