If this board is waved soldered than you may want to look at the wave causing the BGA to reflow a 2nd time when it goes over the wave. The board bows down and the the joint liquidfies and then hardens before the board fully goes back to flat which c

Could be board support. Breakaway boards are a little more flimzy than boards without. A bowed board will cause miss placements - again can be overcome with proper supports (depending on the machine) I would bet that the boards with breakaways h

When we see warp and twist, we usually jump the fabricator for: * MLB construction (not homogeneous or unbalanced - too resin rich or poor) * Supplier process capabilities (lamination cycles) * Material selection (usually cheap and dirty), etc. War

Check for warp during reflow or placement, if your board is bowing you are not going to make a good solder connection. If your board is warping during reflow you may need to make a currier to support the board during reflow if using the edge to tran

Has anyone had any expereince with FR4 boards under the std 0.5% warpage for Bow & twist with CSP & uBGA devices on them that have caused failures. Are there any revised percentages for boards loaded with these devices that anyone knows of, istead of
