Good afternoon, Could you tell me if MPM AP25/HiE can be equipped with side clamping system (snuggers)? It would be great to know the price of such modification as well. Thanks in advance. BR, Pavel

Thanks Pete, I have plenty of Omega thermocouple leads on hand. By the way ECD is the mfg asking $989 for a probe that costs about $100, to which they add a pcb edge clamp.

You're on the right track. 99% of the time, it is caused by a feeder not seating correctly. Check and ensure that all your tape covers are down and LOCKED (very important). Which type of feeders are you using Q or K? One thing I have found with K

Check all your conveyor belts and clamping in your machines. You have to follow these boards through entire process to see where it is coming from, it could be happening at a hand soldering operation as well. Russ

Yes. I used to use em on our old 286. The side clamps work very well with them and our missing parts from support pin problem went away. It was our #1 defect a few years ago. 100%ing work orders for missing parts sucks.

Best to throw an amp clamp on it at diffrent times and then average it out with the formula they gave you!

I do not know the QSV-1, but it sounds like there is a sensor that would detect when the clamp is open. Try to find this sensor and see if it is working.

You may want to look at IPC 7721 Method 3.2 Bow and Twist Repair. In extreme cases you may need clamp or weight the pcb with bow in the other direction to yield a "flat" pcb in the unrestrained state. You will have to take the PCB up to or slightly

You might reduce your panel size, cut it in half and rotate to better utilize your edge clamping/board supports. Tape off your current stencil and see if it improves the print. A new stencil and a little extra handling may be cheaper than tooling.

Hi Eadthem Your way isn't work for our big size Board(620x440x7mm).After pressing the Alu Bars on the edges, the warpage happened more wider. So, we r using clamps to adjust PCB expension. Anyway, thx for sharing.
