I'm currently using Electrovert Vectra's right now. They do really well. I was actually in New Hampshire last month looking at Vitronics Soltec's newest wave soldering machine too. I think they would be worth a look as well. Good Luck!

Small waves are fine, biggest problem is the little to no preheat length. This is reason that complex boards cannot be soldered without defects. They also do not handle thick PCBas very well either because of same issue. Most of these "benchtops"

I don't recall if the heater wattage is the same or not for the different pots. If the wattage is different then the PID algorithm is also different. this anticipated when & by how much the heater will overshoot its setpoint and turns the heater off

Worked with Soltec 6622 with Leaded and Lead Free and is a very capable machine with some good knowledgable engineers to back it all up. Not seen a Nousstar yet in the UK nor a Lead Free Electrovert either thinking about it Greg York Technical Sales

Electrovert's corrosion tests show that it's less corrosive to SS than SAC but it still exhibited corrosive characteristics. What they can't tell from the tests yet is how long before the corrosion starts with the alloy. To be 100% sure, Electrover

Google doesn't return anything with this one. Your best bet would be to take them out and look for obvious damage, check that the relays are working/fuses are okay and what not. If its anything like the PLC that has died then you'll be out of luck.

It sounds to me like Electrovert is a thing of the past. They were bought by a financial clearing house company and were sold because they have been losing money consistently. The new Speedline owners have moved all of their operations to the East
