The centering jaws are made out of copper, I believe...and conductive. I'd suggest that the conductivity of the copper makes it a fairly poor source of ESD damage in a component. I have observed physical damage to components from the centering jaws

What i have on the original 2 problem boards is the parts next to it are SOIC8 and placed using a 125F(.125" dia) 1 of witch is close and we have to Z zone it to place the SOIC last, the others have more than .02" clearance on all sides. The other

OA pastes are more hydroscopic than NC pastes. Hydroscopic. The capacity of a material to absorb and retain moisture from the ambient air. Sometimes this is compounded if you remove paste from the frig and let it warm to room temperature, because

Hello all, I have a diode(gold plated)on some assemblies that gives me a a hard time. The paste is wetting too good and climbs the lead of the component and touches the body which is a defect. I just wonder what if there is a way to heat the board e

I'd don't believe that the reels need to be ESD protective material. The carrier and cover tape have resistivity and materials specifications. Start with EIA-481. In past threads on SMTnet, we have discussed problems in picking components that wer
