Thanks for the suggestion, Bobpan. I'll start looking for a replacement coax cable. Would we be better off to look for a Quadalign system and replace the Cyberoptic unit? Doug

Sorry about taking so long to respond.......The quadalign is a retrofit. You cant just buy a quad-align and mount it on the machine. There is different firmware, cables, and other stuff. Good luck

The camera's are different. I think you can get them repaired but you should be able to find used/new ones. Try PPM as a supplier of old quad parts. Good luck

Thank you. I contacted them today. Their tech thinks it's the camera module box, so we're going to order one from them. Thank you again for your feedback. Dana H. Jade Protronix Arlington,WA

bought the cable replacement kit and replaced all of the ribbon cables and still the deadly motor error 4. Everything in the system has been replaced except the X motor and the Y motor cable.

i have seen bad motor cables cause the problem......you can ohm them out to the driver cards or if you have extras....replace them Bob

Thanks for the reply bobpan. I had the motor power on. I did have a side panel that was not shut all the way. Once I shut that, the error went away and it made it through its startup sequence. No errors. Thanks for the help.

The correct sequence steps should be: 1. tep hold 2-? pick/place/nozzles tep vpass goto 1 This is out of the programming manual.

It sounds to me like your using only the Global fiducial mode. If your running multiple images on one panel use image fiducials instead

Glad you got it working...if I had worked on them in the last 15 years i might of remembered some of the questions you were asking me a little better. But...hey....its working....thats all that counts.
