Hi Dave, What do you mean by "if the board is manufactured properly". If the board is not manufactured properly, humidity will have an impact on the peel strength? Is that what you mean. How does the Humidity impacted the peel strength ? Thru' which

I have just been engaged again in SMT pick-n-place machines. My latest exposure is with Yamaha YV100 and YM84. I have been having some problem on feeders, especially on 1206 reel packages and above. The plastic cover on the reel does not peel off eas

Yes, kind of - I had a look through my notes from a while back where we did a lot of work on bending strenght but the only original source I could find was reference to a paper drawn up in 1979 "Increase Terminal to Pad-Peel Strength with a Standard

Don't sound proper. There is no specification. Pad peel strength test methods are: * IPC-TM-650, Method 2.4.21 for multiple solderings * IPC-TM-650, Method 2.4.8 for copper peel with a Instron machine. Typical requirement for Cu is: 6 lbf/in [1

We all seem to have forgotten about cover tape peel force testers. GPD makes them as do others I suppose. I would ask the tape and reel house if they have a tester. If they don't I would consider using someone else. Otherwise as another poster s

If this is a problem you see with all your paper tape, you may want to talk with your machine vendor. Sometimes a sharper blade in the feeder, which peels off the cover tape, helps to keep the carrier tape together.

Hi, Does you ever encounter static in plastic reel?? For a while when you do a production with our machine the component( mostly resistor and capacitor) stay in the pocket of the reel when the feeder peel off. do you have a trick to stop it? Th
