Component usage/Reel sizes

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 25 16:56:40 EST 2021 | dontfeedphils

I never said ASM wouldn't take more than one reel of the same PN per gantry, just that during optimization it generally doesn't call for more than one reel of the same PN per gantry.

IS THERE A MY DATA ACCESORY TO ROTATE HORIZONTAL CAPS IN A REEL TO PLACE IT VERTICAL ON THE BOARD?

I would also look into un-reeling and re-reeling them. Might be tricky, but no less tricky than trying to rotate them with a machine I imagine.

Tool to measure SMT component reel quantity

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 06 18:01:01 EST 2003 | dougt

This is getting deep but here's my input: Here's an idea....... Get a full reel and weigh it on a parts scale down in the stock room. Next weigh an empty reel. Subtract empty from full, and devide this value by the quantity of the full reel. This

Where to get large reel 0402 passives?

Electronics Forum | Wed Dec 14 13:15:12 EST 2005 | grantp

Hi, Great, and thanks for the info. I will check it out. It's true lead times are long for large reels, but it's worth it when running. We have much faster machines now, but if we are sopped replacing reels all the time, it cuts into up time in a

Electronics Forum | Thu Mar 30 13:09:08 EST 2006 | bvdb

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some general information on reel counters. We are trying to tighten our inventory counts, and rather than estimate a reel we're looking into getting an accurate count via a reel counter. So first, I'm wondering what

Vibration Feeders

Electronics Forum | Sat Sep 27 19:47:21 EDT 2014 | cyle

Reels are 100% the best, vibration feeders should always be a back up, they are quite unreliable through no fault of their own. Say you have 1000 parts to be placed, and the cost of a reel is 100$ more than a tube, but the reel loads 10 to 1 over th

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 30 21:42:25 EST 2020 | stephendo

We do some of our own tape and reeling. We build a small module then ship it in tape and reel. When we first started I could not get a sample just the gerbers and part data. I asked a few places. But without samples they weren't any help. Except for
