Can you give more info: - Hand-soldered? Placed by Pick&Place machine? What kind of SMT machine? - Oven re-flowed? Temperature? - Any physical impact?

The chip resistors are placed on the edge of the board, but the board has no or enough waste tabs. When de-panelizing, the bits may contact and break them. You can use a smt carrier, or add waste tabs in your next assembly manufacturing.

omit stencil apertures to hand solder or paste, reflow then solder.

In both cases, it will depend on storage conditions, unless you do something horrible to them (or as previously mentioned, wash them) months & months. For boards we put through SMT and then stash for THT loading in smaller qty's I don't think we've e

resistor networks- leadless vs. gull wing

I am in the process of picking a new resistor network for one of our new board. Since we are new to SMT i would like to get some opinions on networks. Currently we use one molded gullwing type network on our boards with no problems. Other than space

Difference Between "NO" & "MP" in SMT Part Number

Hi, I was wondering what is the difference between MP and NO at the end SMT part number. I tried to look into it but could not find anything promising. e.g I have a resistors with part numbers 0603-NO and 0603-MP and 0603-RES. What could be the diffe
