My company is looking for higher density for card layout. One suggestion has been locating active components packaged in SOT's and SOIC's on the B-side of the card. This in turn will require wave soldering of the above mentioned components. When I di

If it were other machines I would suggest the possibility of air kiss blowing the solder away, but mydata's have a release to make sure the air kiss never gets too high. Unless it is not pointing 90 degrees away from the machine like mydata recommend

Hi John, Depending on your board, it could make a difference. Copper finishes might leave that part of the pad exposed, which is a no-no in most places. Where as a HASL board prolly won't care if you pulled the print back. On the other end, over

Based on your knowledge and experience, could you tell me about speed differences when placing a mix of SMD at mass production? We could consider packages like the small R & C chips, then SOD323, SOT-23, SOT-23-5, SOT23-6, SON6, QFN8, SOIC-8, SOIC-16

Pete: It sound like somewhere through all that you should have gotten good product. Heres a couple of questions on your board: * How are the SOIC positioned relative to the wave? * How are you controlling the flatness of the second wave? * What
