Vapour Phase

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 06 15:57:36 EDT 2007 | grantp

Hi, Vapor phase is an incredibly process, apart from the tombstoning, that we just could never eliminate. So we had to dump it and go with convection. It's a shame, as the solder joints were incredible! Regards, Grant

Vapor (vapour) Phase?

Electronics Forum | Sat Jun 14 09:01:03 EDT 2008 | woo10

Is anyone out there using vapor phase soldering techniques? 1. I'm wondering what results you are getting? 2. How are you controlling the thermal profiles (specifically ramp rates and TAL)? 3. What fluid type are you using? Who is the mfg? Thanks

I assume you using a fixed mass vapour phase system? Yes rates of rise are impacted by the mass of the PCB, larger the mass to mass of vapour phase the lower the rise generally. So if you load the machine with very little mass PCB rise times can be

Re: Centech - Vapor Phase

| We (Compunetix, Inc.) need to sell a Centech Vapor Phase. What would be a good asking price. | | TIA | You should be aware that vapour phase is on its way down the hill for environmental reasons. In any case, how can anyone recommend a price wit

component baking process

thanks for your reply ....yes the air is then able to hold more water vapour.... but so is the component hence there is no water vapour pressure difference and the component and the air in the oven would still be in equilibrium???? hence no effective

Vapor (vapour) Phase?

Hi, We used it previously a few years ago, and I think I posted some comments on it here in the forum in the past you might want to search out. It's a weird process, because it solders incredibly, and I mean it's incredible. There is no oxygen, so

Profiling Vapour Phase System

Electronics Forum | Thu Nov 30 12:12:14 EST 2006 | pbarton

I am in the process of characterising a new vapour phase reflow system and am interested to learn if anyone out there has ever come across time/temperature datalogging equipment capable of being run through the entire process (including vacuum) along

Low volume prototyping

Hi Piet, We looked into this too at some length (we do a lot of FPGA and 16 & 32 bit micro designs) and every semi auto machine we checked out was to be fair, crap. Especially on the number & type of devices you could sucessfully handle, set up & a

Using Vapour Phase Soldering Process

Electronics Forum | Mon Dec 20 22:41:42 EST 2010 | grantp

Hi, We had it for a while, but had to take it out and replace it with normal convection. I mean the soldering quality is absolutely amazing, and the joints looked perfect, however it was a horror for tomb-stoning. We tried all types of stencil apert

Samtec Searay 500 pin connector solder wicking issue after reflow

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 13 17:39:49 EST 2020 | avillaro2020

Hi, I need help on how to address the solder wicking on the samtec searay connector after reflow resulting to open solder joints on thick and thermal heavy PCB (4.4mm and 6.3mm). I increased my solder paste thickness to 8 mils, the connector is manua
