So, what is 'high voltage'? anywho? * We sort of use 10 kV as the starting point for 'high voltage'. * National Electrical Code defines a much lower starting point (300 or 600 V?),

Hi Kevin, Hepco makes a small unit called a Hepco 3000-2, with the right die set this should be no problem. The unit should retail for around $600.00USD, have a good day. Sincerely, Zack Schmad factory-automation@cox.net

Are there existing acceptability dedicated criteria for ALIVH bare boards? (Equivalent to IPC-A-600) In particular, how can we assess copper foil cracking after thermal stress?

You could comprimise on the E-Fab stencil and buy a laser cut nickle, it will have similar release characteristics to an E-Fab and only costs $600, they can be purchased from Stork Veco, they are located in Europe.

It's possible, but we'd be VERY surprised. [Never say 'never'] Fabs REALLY try to keep copper away fom the edges of boards, because it's a A-600 requirment.
