Squeegee side-deflector

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 20 22:19:06 EDT 2000 | Herman Koo

I am operating MPM AP HiE. The squeegee was just repaced with metal blade, side plastic deflectors(with spring) at both ends. The engineering dept suggested that we level the squeegee with the plastic deflector up. Afterwards, we loosen the screw and

Paste In Hole

Electronics Forum | Mon Jul 09 14:03:39 EDT 2001 | ohboy

Make sure you're getting a good roll from your squeegies. Poly will "scoop", leaving less, nickel will add a little extra. A slightly shorter blade height out of the holders will help promote a good roll- this helps push the paste into the thru h

Rippling effect of stencils

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 15 00:39:09 EST 2002 | Jones

I've noticed that after we have switched to Transition Automation blades on our MPM screen printers that the stencils seem to be wearing out faster and I see a wavy rippling effect across the length of the stencil thats impacted by the squeege blade.

Rippling effect of stencils

What Snap-Off are you running ? I've seen this happen when a large negative Snap-Off is used. If you "contact" print (I.E. Zero Snap-Off) this tends to minimize the stencil coining. We use a mix of MPM & Transition Automation blades. I have noticed

Squegge Angle for Fine pitch?

Electronics Forum | Thu Dec 18 21:36:03 EST 2003 | pdeuel

Blade angle, print speed, squeegee pressure, should be used in conjenction with one another. The more parellel the blade is to the stencel the more it will tend to float over the solder and the more paste is forced thru the appature. Contrary the gre

Squeegee angles

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 14 09:54:34 EST 2006 | slthomas

"45* is a common angle of attack. Squeegee blades are commonly manufactured at 60*. The combination of the angle of attack and the blade angle results in an actual printing angle between the two due to down pressure and flex of the blade." Ahhhh, so

SMT LEAD FREE PRINTING

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 03 13:35:50 EDT 2006 | SWAG

Sorry - don't know of any studies/papers. Having dedicated blades and holders for lead free is best. Also, our customer for lead free requires a line change-over check-off sheet that we follow, sign and keep with all the paperwork for the order. T

screen thickness

Thanks very much everyone. > > I'll try out a > 5mil and see how that goes. If you are using 6mil stencil and you are saying that you need more on the 0603 parts then you might want to look at your squeege pressure. What kind of squeege blades ar

Squeegee blade maintenance

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 11 23:49:39 EST 2013 | jigo91

Hi everybody, In our company we wanted to add to our maintenance a method of detecting when a blade is damaged so we can change it before it affects our printing process. I have talked with our squeegee manufacturer for recommendations but they have

PCB v-score depaneling question

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 29 08:55:35 EST 2017 | capse

I represent Fancort Industries. We provide "pizza cutter" and horizontal opposing blade "guillotine" style v-score depanel equipment. The edge clearance requirements are 0.030" - 0.050" for the wheel cutter and down to 0.020" for the opposing blade e
