| Does anybody put QFP's on the backsides of boards? Can they be reflowed without falling off? Do you use adhesive? | I've seen QFP's on the backside and yes, they need glued prior to reflow - just a couple of drops on the corners. Scott

We wave solder no MELF. When we analyzed this a couple of years ago, the temperature extremes of the wave affected LT reliability.

I bounced over to Yahoo and they had a couple. Some digital, some the standard glass type. If you go with the glass type, make sure you buy a plastic graduated cylinder to do your measuring in. Glass on glass ends up in one of em breaking!

We're used to placing the theromcouple on the solder joint and securing it with thermally-conductive UV adhesive. It's quick & easy to apply, and I've only seen a couple degrees difference from high-temp solder technique. Thoughts?
