We are currently looking at a CS-400D component locator with automatic cut & clinch from contax ltd .Anyone who has had good or bad experiences with this type of equipment and are prepared to share,it would be much appreciated. Adam

I generally get the operators to chop the middle leg manually and crop the 2 outer legs - hope this helps?

Not a bad machine, However be carful. Contact is not doing well and support and spare parts may be a big issue in the near future

Do you have any other suggestions for Semi Auto Cut and Clinch machines. Because of Contact Systems reputation I was leaning towards them, but I had no idea they we having problems.

Using Circuit Cam here. Not sure on the cost though. We use it to program our CS400E insertion machines as well. Makes nice work instruction drawings too.

Hi Dougs, There's quite a few of the CS 400E's in the UK, so you should be able to have a nose a some working. Cheers, Rob.
