Large Pile of Trays for BGAs, LGAs and QFPs

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 28 14:53:29 EST 2011 | bandjwet

Dear SMTNetters I have a fairly large pile of different size ESD part trays that we collect over time from clients. The jobs have long since come and gone. Does anyone have any ideas on who to trade/barter with to get them out of our plant? Regar

Matrix/Jedec tray changeover at pick and place surface mount.

Afternoon all, Do you use any special surface other that ESD matting when changing over matrix trays? We currently use a earthed wire trolley that we keep trays and MSD bags on and when replenishing stock its carried out on the trolley. Does anyon

How does temperature and humidity effect solder paste/printing

Electronics Forum | Wed Apr 11 22:05:58 EDT 2001 | davef

OA pastes are more hydroscopic than NC pastes. Hydroscopic. The capacity of a material to absorb and retain moisture from the ambient air. Sometimes this is compounded if you remove paste from the frig and let it warm to room temperature, because

Are all tape and reels used in SMT required to be static safe?

Electronics Forum | Sat Feb 02 08:55:55 EST 2002 | davef

I'd don't believe that the reels need to be ESD protective material. The carrier and cover tape have resistivity and materials specifications. Start with EIA-481. In past threads on SMTnet, we have discussed problems in picking components that wer

Can anyone tell me that between Mirtek & Kohyoung which AOI machine will be better and why?

Electronics Forum | Mon Feb 16 12:33:58 EST 2015 | ianatvadatech

Hey Syed, I've been running the MV-9 for just over a year. We shopped around very extensively (two APEX shows) before switching from yestech to mirtec and we bought two of the best systems they had to cover the four lines we run. Two systems are fa

Static Detectior for ESD program

What have your experiences been with static meters for maintaining your ESD program? As part of our ESD program I am after an improved method of identifying risk items, or items not performing to specification. We use wrist and foot straps, ESD flo
