Hello. We encountered a SMD problem on PCB. It is that the lead of photocoupler is shifted after reflow and don't meet the minimum requirement of side joint length. I know this is a defect but what i want to hear the reason and the solution to prev

I would suggest that the pad size vs lead length vs lead pitch are helping cause issue if rest of PCB is ok From DFM , yes reducing lead length - experiement or reducing pad diameter could help. Also flux can still be issue, try fluxing part prior

You can use any metric ruler to do that. Examples: Pitch 2mm x 200parts = 400mm length or Pitch 4mm x 100parts = 400mm length You can also calculate approximately how many parts you have on the tape by using formula. I don't have the formula but

Many Manufacturers make Large board capable machines. A quick way to find them is to look for LED machines, the lengths should range from 32" to 52", although some simply manipulate the staging (clamping) area to achieve length. The trick is finding

From the picture you present, it is a pin in paste part with pin length 2.2mm (a good length for 1.6mm PCB thickness), and seems the pin tilted and touch on PCB surface, thus causes up-part. Sorry I cannot image pin tilted not before placement but i

We do one of two things here; 1. We have cut up a bar of solder to different lengths, wieghts, etc. and place them on top of the offendinding floater, or 2. On selective wave pallets we will build a jig/clamp to hold down the part.

Just out of curiosity, what's the maximum length print the Pro Flo is capable of? I think the Cross Flow option for the EKRAs that we use only goes up to 350mm, which is way short of what we'd need.

Hi Ramot; I have some sugestion for you, you may want to look at part data, like lead width, pitch , length. Good Luck socheatk

One other thing you may want to look at is your nitrgen settings and the difussers. If you don't have them correct, you can also see bridging and icicles.

Second the motion for the Stevens Products covers. They call them Gold Fingers Gloves and they are a pull-truded fibreglass product that comes in sticks. You hacksaw them to the length needed. We have many that have been through the wave thousands o
