Anyone had any dealing with 0402 placements on the Topaz X Gem machines, we have placed on the XII series but never on the Gem.

hello all I have a Assembleon Topaz. at head # 2 everytime it going down to pick up the part, it just blowing the part off from feeder, i did replace vacuum vale but still doing the same. any input is helpful. thanks

Don't know about Topaz, but on Essemtec machine using SMC ejector, there are separate solenoid valves for vacuum and release. The connectors are identical and side by side. If these connectors were swapped then I would have the symptoms you describe.

I used Topaz x and X2 long time ago. I might be wrong, but let's check the thickness of components and the camera light recognizing setup for each part. (?). They may be too different to be optimized for simultaneously pick-up and place.

Hi, Very good machine. They has different calibration procedure little bit compared with Topaz Xii. It has linear guides. in the general not so much different from Topaz Xii. Were you from?
