Vapor degreasing cleaning

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 31 12:44:21 EDT 2020 | kylehunter

We are using a spray fluxer. Most of the THT parts are long connectors, so we spray along the length of the connector. I'm sure we can tune it a bit to reduce the amount of flux some. We're still going to need to remove the flux for some of our clien

SPI Specifications

Electronics Forum | Mon Mar 20 21:46:31 EDT 2023 | emeto

The experimental way is the best approach for SPI settings and fine tuning. Have a start point of +/- 20%. You build 0402s and machine flags them 35% offset from value. You reflow, perform AOI - everything is fine. You go back and you move tolerance

Re: Dome Fiducials

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 16 05:58:12 EST 2000 | Wolfgang Busko

Hi Dane, if with "dome" is meant the irregularity of a HASL finish than we had a lot of problems especially like Dean mentioned with finepitch parts and circular fids. It ended up with cleaning the fids with erasers before using the boards. Later we

Re: 0402 placed by CP3

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 15 05:02:42 EST 2000 | SaiWong

It is not gonna work. Even though you fine tuned the CP3. 0603 is the maximum. The camera design is only for the 0603 maximum. If you use it for 0402. I think at least 60% of the component are gone. Also, there is no 0802 feeder for the CP3. How can

Solder Paste Volume

What time? An in-line bot with a vision system tuned for paste recognition can measure a different portion of each board and keep pace with the placement machine all day long. I don't understand what you guys propose as an alternative. Realistical

Non-Waveable SMT Caps

Wolfgang: Is your company going-out of business? What "future is canceled"? What lights are being turned-out and doors being locked? Is there a fat lady tuning-up her vocal cords, too? [If so, sympathy.] Another "Dave F", now thats something t

Back to Wolfgang's original request. Stacking chip components is just one of many unusual mods that are being added to IPC 7711 Rework of Electronic Assemblies. While some may deem this technique unacceptable, it is a relatively common practices

Re: Conductor width tolerances

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 10 12:13:53 EST 1999 | Wolfgang Busko

Thats what we consider to be practical if the 20% were the worst case we see but the reality looks different. By chance we get a -20%, sometimes worse, sometimes a "good" 10%, rarely does it hit the nominal value and never its a +%. In short: It lo

Earl, Everything is quite hectic here. We are still trying to get our stuff together from Cunli's absence. It is difficult to replace him. Please don't take offense from my slow response time. We are aware of the problem of lack of communication and
