Paste In Hole

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 28 10:58:28 EDT 2001 | brownsj

The question is are you talking of a reflow or wavesolder process. If your talking reflow I used to use a stepped stencil to ensure I had sufficient paste and then make a double pass with my squeegees. First pass with a 45 degree rubber squeegee to f

DB Sure, it is always possible to "duck in outside air" to use with production equipment, but be careful, you have to determine the air quality required for your process. Cosnsider moisture, contaminates and the actual forcing of air into a confine

Wave Solder Non wetting holes

Hello, Assuming that your dwell and coverage at the wave are in order..... Have you checked the angle and pressure of your fluxer air knife? You can only count on capilary action to a point. The air knife, set correctly, will help get your flux t

Stencil Drying

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 20 19:12:07 EST 2001 | billschreiber

Hello Kerry, If your stencils are going back into inventory rather than into production, expediting the drying process may not be necessary. Just place them on a rack and allow them to air dry naturally. That way you can maximize the throughput of

Panasonic CM Nozzle shifts LED's positions

Electronics Forum | Fri May 13 19:48:28 EDT 2022 | cbeneat

Not completely. We end up increasing the blow off/vacuum break air pressure. The only issue with that is if we go too high, and a small part is close to the light it will blow it out of position. So on occasion there is a balancing act we have to do.

0402's and Gluing.............

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 08 23:29:54 EST 2005 | mrduckmann2000

Help! Does anyone know how to get a Camolot Gem II machine to put down dots for 0402 placement? I have been working with Electrovert Tech's that say their machine WILL place dots for 0402's. I have reduce the speed of the pumps to half the speed,

Screen printing Solder Mask

Pete, I was speaking to the Electrovert/Speedline/Camalot/Gemini factory tech's and App Eng's. I now have new machine files which slowed the pumps down to half speed, I have several needles....all of which still will not place a small enough dot.

*Qualify* your equipment by running X boards, Y times, through each piece of equipment under normal operating conditions and quantifying the performance, as in a ppm rating. Then validate your process by defining all of the steps you use to generate

Quad IVc Part rejection issue

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 16 07:40:27 EDT 2012 | bobpan

Here are a couple of things to look at. 1. Watch the machine run....and if it misses a part....make sure it doesnt blow out the next part being presented. Sometimes the air pressure is too high and the vacuum verify will blow the part out of the poc
