Thermodynamically, alloying increases free energy & entropy. You are basically adding disorder to the lattice by alloying so it is easier to melt. [Laxmi Narayanan R, Practical Metallurgist!!!!!]

Profiling for Pb-free HASL

Thanks, Evtimov. In terms of mechanical drop performance, can we conclude that the higher Ag alloy will have poorer drop shock performance relatively compare to those with lower Ag? The Ag3Sn is a good IMC for welding strength?

Lead Free Sn-8Zn-3Bi Solder Paste

Steve, You're asking the right questions, dont listen to sales pitch and stick with the facts. But you're in for a tough ride with lead-free because there is just not enough data and experience with the lead-free alloys as of yet. Every month you h

Solderality problems with SN100C Lead Free Hasl
