Stain on PCB from reflow oven

If you are trying for a nice reflective surface you will get a white with better spectral reflection if you paint with an appropriate formula after the board is soldered.

Water Soluble Tacky Flux Low Halide for Rework

Does anyone have good/bad experiences with tacky fluxes for rework? Which vendor/formula should I start with? Which ones should I stay away from? Thanks! BWET

PCB Warp Issues

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 28 08:41:47 EDT 2010 | vetteboy86

I believe we are seeing some wetting issues as we have tried to bake these assemblies ourselves. Our PCB supplier is coming in next week to address the issue. Is there a rule of thumb or formula for determining correct parameters. Thanks

Printing Speeds for Fine Pitch

We are having solder bridges on a fine pitch QFP and was wondering whether printing speed directly affects the bridging and is there a typical formula to work out print speed?

No white Papers... although you might want to look at Renesas Semiconductor. They have a nifty little formula that seems to not take enough variables into consideration.

Reflow profiling of double sided assemblies

Google for this: "weight_limit_qfn_smta.pdf" Although it is focused on QFN, formula can be used for most parts...

SMT Components

Thats OK, no doubt your formula works, or you would not keep it. So does mine, without the 2t, (that is way I asked) I must go and find it, or rework it out since my old thread has gone from this web site.

solder paste height standard

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 07 23:38:08 EST 2014 | m_imtiaz

want to know the tolerance the paste height in the solder paste printing. for example if stencil thickness is 7 mil, what will the acceptance level of paste height ( upper and lower) kindly share if any guidelines or formula for the same

Spray fluxer conversion

What formula of flux are you foaming with? I am looking for a new flux to try. We are still foaming in both our machines.

Stencil life

Hey man, can you please suggest what you do for traceability system to count cycles of the stencil. Is there any special setup for that or just a Excel sheet with formulas.?
