you say you use the glue to keep the components on during wave, why would you want to solder them twice, once in reflow and once in wave?

Glue Dispense Process Control

We are an OEM automotive electronics supplier and began using SMT in our products a couple of years ago. We use a glue and wave process, and one of our main issues has been our glue dispensing process. We have a Camelot 3800 machine, and we have be

I agree with you PR!! At our factory, we had trouble with 0603's!!!! Especially if you try to glue and wave them...manufacturing management, in turn, blamed the declining yields on the processes, and NOT on the product! ...and with process windows

Shy: You say, "I've already done some evaluation to reduce the heigh of the glue but it fails at wave solder which cause the component to be drop/missing." Based on your evaluation, questions are: * What is the relation between component standoff an

Glue PCBA No solder & Bridging issue at Wave soldering Process

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 09 06:10:03 EDT 2016 | jswatt

the time between SMT & wave should be as short as possible but at a max it is controlled by strictest MSD part, so if you have a part with only a 48hr MSL window then it needs to be with the 48hrs. Can you post images of what you are getting? It may

ReFlow Vs Wave (using Red Glue) Soldering.

Hello Guru's, I am using IPC-7351 LP Calulator to design Footprint (0603, 0805, 1206, SOT-23, etc) for all SMT Parts. Our Production Recently commented that they have included Red Glue Machine inhouse and will use Wave Soldering for Both Thru-hol

Ok. The best ways: 1.Wave A.Secondary side(SMD only)with glue. B.Primary side (smd+TH) c.Wave both sides(or wave and reflow) 2.If you can't solder the primary side or you don't use dispenser use classic way with reflow and trough hole at the end of

I just started a design where I will be placeing smt parts on both side of PCB. 50 parts on top side ranging from 0602 to SOIC8 and 4 SOIC LED's on bottom. How can I assemble with parts on both sides ? I have P&P,stensil printer, relfow and solder w

This probably won't help much but I find it at least a little interesting. During some experimentation recently I accidently loaded a board into the wave upside down and it had a PLCC 68 package along with other types of components that had only bee
