MSK, would help to know the exact type of LED you are talking about, and the size and spacing of the pads on pcb; and how and where the LEDs are reversed (always in the same direction or random ?) Also a picture might help.

A few of the LEDs on the cameras of my stencil printer are really dim. I want to replace them and not have to buy a whole new light ring board. Does anyone know what kind of LED they are? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a few LED pcb's that have an aluminum substrate that are ridiculous to rework. They heat-sink like crazy and I can't reflow the bad LED's, no matter how much heat I apply. Any suggestions on techniques or equipment to use?

Most of our LEDs are assembled as individuals connected by PCB traces. The ones that aren't are triple LEDs with three colors.
