Experiment time....

| Hi, good friends | I found this site is so wonderful to learn SMT techniques meaningfully. | We now employ 3 Fuji GL-541 dispensors and raw material with Soma IR-120. but we found glue string casually. From my experience from trouble-shooting the c

No Clean

The criterion you use will depend on the test method you select. For minimum requirements, look at J-STD-001C, Para 8, "Cleanliness Requirements". I figure that youd measure the residues on a lot of your current product, measure the res on a lot o

conformal coatings and flux compatability

Electronics Forum | Tue May 23 12:18:25 EDT 2000 | mike weekes

Which companies would you consider for protective coatings, (conformal coating) and other levels of protection? I am taking a fresh look at alternatives. Know any good tests for testing compatability of coating with flux - aqueous or no clean? SMT

"Superboy" needs HELP

Electronics Forum | Wed Jun 24 16:30:37 EDT 1998 | Justin Medernach

Hi all, I've received an interesting opportunity. I'm in the contract mfg. game at the prototype level. I have a chance to build a Flip Chip test vehicle. I know little about the process but am very familiar with the packaging / process terminolog

MyData F-MOT MOVESLOWMOVE HYDRA error

Electronics Forum | Tue Apr 02 14:56:30 EDT 2024 | kingkelvin

Hi all - my problem is a bit worse now - I can get all hydra tests to pass in extended service, except indicator levels at current 7 a bit high past 190 limit at ~210-220 - other than that hydra bank re-installs OK - but still it makes a bad hitting

Re: Zero-Ion Ionic Tester

Casimir: Resistivity of Solvent Extract (ROSE) testers measure ionic contamination by washing boards with a DI water/IPA solution. (No-clean people: Stop and go on to something else.) The testers are process control instruments used to monitor a

PQFP with pitch of 0.4 mm

Electronics Forum | Sat Feb 10 17:12:03 EST 2001 | rpereira

I admit, 16 mil QFP printing is very challenging but if all your control factors (print speed, etc...) are setup correctly (through DOE) extremely high yields can be achieved and more importantly a repeatable and robust product will be manufactured.

Electromigration Testing

Do anyone of you know if are there any Standard (IPC, JEDEC, etc) telling how much can be the acceptable level of TIC (ugr/cm2 NaCl equivalent) allowed on surace of Connectors, Components, before to be assembled on PCB ? Many thanks Rgds GS

Baking of MSD devices

According to J-STD-033B, 3.1 Requirements: The levels are determined per J-STD-020 and/or per JESD22-A113 plus reliability testing. Look here: http://www.jedec.org/download/search/jstd020c.pdf
