Re: Bare PWB bake out during circuit assembly

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 10 09:42:05 EST 1999 | Boca

Generic fabs should not require baking. Some special cases like teflon and flex circuits take moisture very well, they often continue to require a trip to the oven. Best wishes, Boca

PWB marking

Electronics Forum | Thu May 27 13:49:01 EDT 1999 | Greg Curler

One of our board fab houses is asking (again) to eliminate the reference designators and polarity markings from boards. This isn't feasible for thru-hole, but what is the industry trend on surface mount assemblies?

1 mil or 25 um trace width

Can anyone in this world produce such small PCB/PWB trace widths? Lots of theory so far, but have not found anyone yet who can do it in practice.

Trying to locate a company that I believe was called Addative Technologies, previously located in Tyngsboro, Ma. Process is the addition of circuit traces utilizing a conductive ink that is fired and can then be run through the normal processing cyc

Flexible Circuit, rework

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 22 14:33:47 EDT 1998 | David Brooks

I am looking for a way to re-bond a flexible circuit to a PWB, so that the original circuits are re-connected. Can anyone help? I believe I saw some equipment in SMT Magazine 1 or 2 months ago, but I can not find that advertisement!

Integrating fabrication & assembly

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 21 17:15:53 EDT 1998 | Cy Holmes

Anyone know of reasons why PWB fabrication and board assembly shouldn't take place in the same building? eg contamination? corrosion? etc

BGA solder joint integrity

This sounds like it could possibly be a case of Black Pad. We have had a few issuses with this in the past as well. Who the PWB vendor? I also recommend searching the archives and doing some solder samples with nonpopulated boards
