Stainless Steel in wash system

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 12 18:07:17 EDT 2001 | ksfacinelli

Ok....this is the last time asking this question. Does anyone know how to clean the dull residue of the inside of a stainless steel batch cleaner. The system has always been DI based and run with a saponifier. I am not sure what the redusue is or

We have two batch systems here. The systems have worked very well but the interior stainless steel is very dull. We are running a DI based open loop system for cleaning primarily a WS flux. In special cases we have used ArmaKleen E-2001 and Alpha

Batch Cleaners

Most batch cleaners are "dishwashers" with stainless steel pipes and cabinets. Heated DI water is a good thing. Are you cleaning Watersolubles or no-cleans? You will need some chemistries for the No-Clean and the W.S. will eventually eat through al

Hi All We are looking for not expensive solution for misprint PCB cleaning for both one and double side assemblies. We have tried different ways and cleaning solutions like: IPA, Vigon Zestron SD300, Vigon SC200 by deep the boards in to stainless ste

uBGA (.5mm pitch) printing woes

The material is 0.12mm stainless steel, electropolished it's thick for fine pitch but we have lot of other big components on the board which do not solder good if we use 0.1mm thickness stencil. The 0.3 mm apretures are big enough and have good rele

Dunno, but if I had to guess, your DI is corroding the stainless. But then again, some saponifier concentrations can be overly caustic

Hi Tom, I did talk to Bob Gilbert about the sn100c. His comment is that it is a nickle stabalized alloy. Simplisticly, the tin and copper molecules would rather bond with the nickle. He also mentioned that with the SAC alloys, the manufactuers were

Stencil cleaning

Bryan: * Most of our stencils are made from stainless steel that is held by a aluminum frame, attached with epoxy with a fiber glass intermediary between the frame and the stencil. * We use stencils to print either glue [thermoset epoxy] or solder pa

Stainless Steel tabs in brd assemblies

Davef, thnx for your reply. Sorry, forgot to clarify "our normal soldering process". We use standard Sn/Pb & SAC305 for our non RoHS & RoHS requirements. We only have a "No Clean" process, no aqueous flux is used. Hence our flux will be mild. As susp
