Scott Wish we could all quite showing our age and just enjoy the SMTNet. Most of us enjoy reading the responses and at times responding to issues that are important to all of us. Technical information is so important to all of us. Most of the Old

Fuji Flexa and Aegis w/ Circuitcam or Unicam w/Assembly Expert

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 04 10:53:20 EST 2004 | RNH

I have Flexa with the circuitcam interface. Works great for importing cad file into circuitcam and then exporting program into Flexa. I don't use the documentaton side of circuitcam much.

How Can I generate Pick and place files from Eagle

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 15 04:08:04 EDT 2018 | colinbenton

Hi Stephen, it seems they call it differently . What they need is an insruction data they can import to the machine, how the IC is soldered, the relative orientation for some parts, ect.

Expected pick and place precision for 0603 LEDs?

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 13 15:33:08 EST 2013 | mondalaci

Good question :) I'd say with a machine that is available for an average pick and place operator nowadays. Our manufacturer is not fixed yet, that's why I don't have any specific. On a related note I'm wondering whether the machine is so importan

Thinking of changing Pick and Place from Quads

Any major brand (Samsung, Juki, Panasonic, Fuji) will work, most important is what service and support you will get *after* you buy the new machine. Once the machine is set and run, the most annoying part is to have downtime waiting for support quest

Selecting pick and place machine (comparison/personal experience/sales pitches)

Flexibility (if what I am thinking about flexibility is correct) is more important than speed. Most of the time spent on reloads, not the runs. We have high mix and fairly low volume (100-1000) Medium complexity QFPs, 0402, LEDs 100-2000 components p

Pick and place machine for small productions. Any suggestions?

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 19 12:29:57 EDT 2013 | deanm

What is your plan/budget for your reflow oven and paste printer? Those are equally important as a placement machine. Have you factored in other costs of in-house assembly such as inspection, moisture sensitive device storage, rework tools, cleaning p

Expected pick and place precision for 0603 LEDs?

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 13 16:48:19 EST 2013 | spoiltforchoice

I would expect any half decent machine to place 0603 parts slap bang on target to the typical defined accuracy for such parts on most machines of perhaps ~60 microns or better. Self correction during reflow is IMHO much less pronounced with lead-free

Poka yoka tool for assembly of chip capacitors and resistros

Electronics Forum | Mon Sep 08 11:54:42 EDT 2014 | gregp

Hello Spoilt... Yes it's true about the kitting being important but we also offer a component tester/verifier option for our system. The components can be tested for each insertion if you wish. The machine will not allow a component to be inserted
