When I start the device, in the reference mode (in device startup mode), the laser calibration section gives this error. And it does not display a fixed point on the monitor screen.

That sounds frustrating--I've seen that E601040 error before, and it usually points to an issue with the laser not being able to detect the calibration block mark. If it's not showing a fixed point on the monitor, it could be due to a dirty lens, misalignment, or even something as simple as poor lighting or a blocked sensor. I'd recommend double-checking that the calibration block is clean and properly placed, and also making sure the laser window is clear. If everything looks fine physically, a sensor or camera recalibration might be needed through the service menu.
