Kindly advise whether we can use tooling holes if there is no fiducials point on the PCB. Is there any others thing that can use, because tooling holes have it tolerances .

try using drill holes.. i have used these in the past, just recently we used them and placed 0.5mm pitch devices fine.,.

This should sort you out for this batch but get onto the Customer and tell them you need fiducials for reliability on placement.

Yes, on most machines you can teach pads as fiducials.

Try using via pads as fiducials. This will avoid the problem of drilling accuracy.

I have used tooling holes, connector holes, via holes, and others. As long as the hole is consistent than it should not be a problem. I have never tried a pad for a fiducial before because of the paste being on it and thought it would not work. So maybe next time I will give that a try and see how it works.

For placement tooling holes should get you close. For screen printing pads are fine. Just turn off the post print alignment if doing 2D or 3D.
