Hi

After our internal meeting we end up with the selection of either Europlacer's X25 or Mydata's My15. we have a mix production , and 15-18 cph is fine for us.

ofcourse mydata has a brad name. but europlacer also seems to be okay.

It was learnt that europlacer was one of the first company to introduce the intelligent feeder in market.

please help me in idnetify the ownership cost , running cost , spare part delivery ,support comparing two.

An addition info about the operation part of the m/cs will also be appreciated

Thanks.

I think perhaps you should revisit the choice and take another look at Universal Advantis, I-Pulse M2 & M4(low cost Assemblion), Samsung SM320 or CP45 Neo, Contact Systems C5, Fuji XP series, Juki KE2060, and Siemens Siplace.

There is nothing wrong with the Europlacer X25 & I know many happy Europlacer customers, but it does carry a large price premium and in reality does not outperform all of the above (whatever the salesmen of respective companies say). The feeders are also very expensive.

Do your due dilligence - get all of the companies to work out production times & changeover times for your products. Get response times from them, costs for service calls, maintenance, callibration, training, installation, software upgrades, nozzles etc. Talk to customers in your region of all machines - see who is really getting good service.

Good luck,

Rob.

If 15 to 18 chips per hour is fine, I would put them down by hand. If your useage goes up dramatically, I would look at the top end machines. The prices from the big guys have come way down and its not worth buying a mid market machine anymore.

It sounds as though you are looking for a single machine that can do the entire component range. The C5 series from Contact Systems competes directly with the machines you mention. The Mydata machine will do 6-8K CPH real world with the hydra head (may be too slow). The Europlacer has only 96 8mm tape capacity. Check out the C5 at http://www.contactsystems.com

And what would this site be if this question didn't come up every other week?

Grant, maybe you should ditch those Fuji machines and replace them with C5's!!!
