Hello all,

I need to learn about Conductive Anodic Filament (CAF).

All information about the phenomenon will be appreciated.

About IPC TM-650 6-2-25 CAF Resistance Test, where could it be performed in European Lab ?

Thanks in advance

Regards.....GS

Yeah, I agree with you for once Doc.

It's quite obvious you don't need any help on that front you're doing a perfectly good job all on your own.

If I am not wrong, by reading so huge amountof infos, it seams that CAF test is justified (suggested) if the PCB has at least 4 layers. Correct?

What about in case of a need to perform a CAF test ona 2 layers PCB ?

Thank you

We expect that CAF can form on a 2-layer as easily as a 4 layer board.
