Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of an automatic BGA reballing unit / system? I'm aware of the "martin" / Manncorp" unit but was looking for info on other manufacturers of this type of device.

I usually need to reball about 10 pcs at a time and using the "pre-form" method is getting expensive. I'd rather invest in an automatic unit that uses loose solder spheres that are much more affordable.

Thanks for reading.

Contact practical components, they have masks and balls, I would not call it automated though. These are simply placing the mask over the part and dumping the balls on it then removing (brushing)the excess balls.

I have run and reballed BGAs with our placement machines if you really need to be automated.

Hi Russ,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have the practical components sets that you mentioned, they take too long to do 10 pcs, the "pre-forms" are much faster.

What equipment do you use for your automated process?
