I have the entire computer box assembly from a 1306/40 series machine. This was one of the first with the AC servo motors and digital drives. It was taken from a working CSM66 at the same time as I bought a CSM84. It was included to be used as spare parts for my machine, but is totally incompatible, as my machine has the older brush DC motors and analog servo drives. If it is of use to you (depends on model of machine you get), let me know.

Thanks Jon, my one is equipped with DC servo, too. It is PA130300, the oldest CSM66. Your MCX-2 computer may be useful in the future if you buy a newer CSM. I would like to buy another one as a secondary, wishing a same type, but it seems impossible at this moment. By the way: would you take a measurement on your machine? Please measure your CSM84 outer dimensions with covers (without the monitor and it's holder and without the transporting rail). It's important for me if I can't buy 66 but only 84. The 84 may harder (if not impossible) to carry down to my cellar.

The CSM84 I have is 63" (1600 mm) wide, 57" (1450 mm) deep, and 54" (1372 mm) high, without the turret.

The CSM84 is rated at something like 1600 Lbs (728 kg). I had to cut a hole and install double doors to get mine in. I can't imagine "carrying" this thing anywhere. I used a car engine hoist to pick up one end at a time to put in the adjusting feet.

Sorry it took so long to respond, I was out of town for a while.

Thanks for the dimensions. It is quite larger than CSM66, so I haven't got chance to buy 84. You are very "lucky" because you "only" had to cut a bigger hole for it. My workshop is "under" the ground, in the cellar,so I had to explode my machine into little parts... (I could send you some photos on email)

Ouch! I haven't taken mine apart much, other than removing a couple handles and cover panels to ease it through the door. It seems to be a very massive welded steel box, although maybe everything above the level of the circuit board can come off. I'd be real worried about getting the axes in alignment after such a disassembly. But, I don't think you can get much off the X-Y floor footprint without a hacksaw.
