I am wondering what you are paying for Nitrogen (N2) in for your re-flow or wave, in $ per m3/hr.

.3284/100CF. We are a pretty low volume user but I have had recent quotes and they have all been higher. Watch the contract they make them very difficult to get out of or switch vendors. Usually 12 months notice.

Hello Doug,

At .3284/100CF, the operational annual N2 cost range for one (1) re-flow oven would be $7,200 ~ $30,000, ball-park estimate.

(based on 21 hour days, 280 days per year) Thanks for your input.

We have 2 ovens and 2 wave solder machines using nitrogen. When we were running 2 shifts a day 6 days a week we were spending about $3500 per month. Currently running 1 line 5 days a week we are at about $650 per month. These costs include taxes, tank rental and the other BS fees they add, Gas guys think they're utillities!

OT: Anyone else seen the 2 words in Captcha be Horrible President? I have seen it twice now!

Great. first whinny people complaining about getting ripped off for buying cheap placement equipment (what did ya expect?), now political statements.... jeeezus, what's this forum turned into? Personally I'll vote for Pedro.
