What techniques do you use practically to reduce rearmament time of SMT line in high mix production ? There was such post on forum about it but I would like to gather all techniques in one post so everyone can add some ideas which are already applied on production.

Ideas:

- use all resistors 1% to eliminate all 5% and reduce number of possibly feeder dressing. - use all caps at least X7R/X5R to eliminate Y5V - same reason as resistors. - dressing feeders for second lot during running first lot (problem - additional feeders cost money)

etc. now your call...

as most of our components are described in AML list, we can't play with that so much... so we focus on preparing the line tools/materials before the change (paste, spatulas, test pcb) - and Yes all the dressing for Juki is ready, for TCM most of the part, and Yes it costs :) now we try to limit number of oven profiles and improve planning efficiency to loose as less as possible (we do profile every day - some do every week) best regards
