We have an SPM which has a faulty touch screen (worn out?? who knows). ELOtouch does not have a replacment for this old screen. Has anyone here had any luck replacing it with something else, OR replacing the computer with another, upgrading the software, and moving the control boards to a computer with a mouse and regular display? How did you convert the touch screen to the monitor and mouse combination? We had the same problem two years ago and tried to do the conversion, but ended up with a new DC/DC power supply card.

What did the DC to DC power supply card have to do with it, and where was it in the system? Pete

The screen we had is a Planar EL7768MS. There is a small DC/DC power supply board attahced to the back of the touch screen. That PS board was toasted and caused the failure of the screen. Steve

We got it working; We replaced the old video card with an older ISA video card to get the display to work. Then we removed the ELO touchpanel ISA card, which cleared an IRQ conflict with the mouse on COM 1. Running mouse drivers AND VGASPM.EXE from our other printer made it all work. Thanks for suggestions from all.... Peter
