Just curious to hear what (if anything) everyone is using for software to do this. I'm looking for something that will tell me which feeders need to be removed/moved and which added.

Thanks in advance

I would contact the manufacture of your machine. I believe this is usually pretty machine specific. I don't know if a company like Unisoft makes a module that will help you do this, but if you want anything that actually communicates with the your pick and place machine you'll probably have to deal directly with the manufacture.

What machine are you using?

On our Contact Systems machines we just push the "List Unused" button on the smart feeder menu.

I was thinking that there must be an excel macro floating around here that can just compare the two lists of data (feeder setups) and spit out what the differences are. Maybe ill create one...

Like KPM says depends a lot from platform that you are using. I personally prefer Cimbridge and MUJO

Not specifically changeover software...but it will compare and highlight the differences between .xls files. Good for evaluating new ECOs from customers.

You may want to check out INOKIT from Inovaxe. Thier "load Line" functionality recognizes the component part numbers loaded on each feeder and will recommend the next kits (in priority order) to be run based on the commonality of the parts loaded versus the parts required for the next kits. There is more information available at http://www.inovaxe.com

Hi Jdumond,

I like your idea. If you make something working offline, I don't mind to be a beta tester. Regards, Emil

Depending on budget Valor has Solutions from vManage software suite - depends on machine type on what can be done...but they are generally vendor neutral.
