Can anyone assist with names of publications for anyone requiring some basics on SMT production, process reliability issues etc etc. I have been out of the industry for approx 10 years and need a quick update in SMT with particular regard to process issues. Any help anyone can suggest - websites, publications would be useful.

IPC has some good publications that would also help, such as IPC-S-816. (ipc.org)

Subscribe to SMT magazine. I have gained a ton of knowledge from their articles. (smtmag.com)

Good luck.

Barry,

Process Sciences, Inc. does something called the SMT bootcamp. It is an intense two day course that takes participant through the entire SMT process. The course is taught by a senior process engineer. We are doing a course in Chicago and Denver in mid-summer. It is a real good course for folks who need to get technical knowledge quick.

Check us out at http://www.process-sciences.com, or you can call me at 512-259-7070 if you are interested. Good Luck!~
