Certain packages will always be out 90 degrees or so when a program is first ran on mydata. Is there a way to automatically adjust rotations for mydata packages when generated with circuitcam? Is there a location where we can adjust the angles circuitcam uses when "calc all angles" is selected?

Are you working for an OEM? If so see if you can get your engineering department to change their "zero orientation" for the packages. At one place I believe the CAD department called them "G codes".

What was really bad there was that one shape had two different G codes with different zero orientations. That meant when an engineer used the lesser used one then the angles would be wrong no matter how we set things up on our end.

I believe IPC now has a set of standard zero orientations. If your mydata and the engineering people both followed it, you would have no problems.

You can change the zero orientation of the shapes on the Mydata but then all your existing programs would become wrong.

At another place we used UNICAM which had a "Set theta" function which made it easy to make sure the angles were always right.

The mydata machines are using different packages. Since we know the part numbers and packages affected, would it be posible to load some sort of offset file to correct this before sending it to the machines?

I don't have CircuitCam, I'm using Unicam with Mydata. In Unicam I have a Theta Offset setting for each package witch determines the default rotational angle with respect to the pin 1 setting within the package data. With Mydata, the package information does not have the same corresponding Theta, but the Lead Group assigned to group 1 assigns pin 1 and determines the default rotational angle. If your CAM software has a different lead assigned to lead 1 or the default Theta Offset has lead 1 in a different positional then on you Mydata, the result will be what you are experiencing. Keep in mind if you choose to modify the package Lead Group data on the Mydata it will rotate any programs currently using that package and you will have to fix all existing programs. Your best bet would be to adjust the information in your CAM program to match the Mydata.
