Automated solder wire feeder | 6 January, 2010

Hi,

Has anyone have experience with manual soldering iron using automated wire feed? I am looking at poke yoke manual soldering 5 pins LCD and wondering if there are ways to control the volume of the solder applied to the board to minimize missing solder pins. How robust are these kind of units and process and any disadvantages? Thanks.

JBC Tools has a wire solder feed solder iron. You can control how much is dispensed to the tip. I have sold several of these to customers soldering wires in to terminals. The hand piece is bigger than the typical solder iron but it beats the alternative. I rep in Ohio and W. PA.
