FUJI CP65 FRQ MOTOR | 24 February, 2013

Hi, I bought a used FUJI CP65 machine and the machine is lockup in home. I boot the machine up with Mecha-check mode and can home all the axes except FRQ axis. I look at the Clutch Origin and Messh-check sensor amp is it display 1,2 E (Error I think). I have the following questions for some experience FUJI guy out there 1) How can I reset the error to both amp? 2) Why FRQ axis just keep turning without detect zero? 3) If I have to service the FRQ axis, how I can get access to it because it is hard to get inside the machine so I can see FRQ motor?

I really appreciate any suggestion and thank you for your help.

Thanks, -Michael

Is the amp for the fiber optic working ? Even if it is changing state at the amplifier, sometimes they are not sending a signal to the I/O. That's where I would start.

You can flip flop it with one of the other ones that you know are working. Make sure you take note of switch settings.

Rotate the FQ belt by hand. The amp read out should change state from 0 to 9

Hi Sr Tech, As you suggested, I tried with different AMP and it is display from 0 to 9 when I rotate the FRQ motor. I am going to replace the HPX-T1 AMP. Would you cut the wire or trace it to back to replace it?

Thanks, -Michael

Save yourself a headache and splice it in. Make sure you follow the "setting" instructions that come with the new amp.

Hi Sr Tech,

I replaced the AMP and I can home the machine now. The only problem is the AMP display 5 instead of 0 when the power up the machine. I have couple of questions 1) How do you calibrate it to make the AMP display 0 like others? 2) How do you get access to the FRQ or FQ motor to replace them if needed? 3) What is the Meshing Check AMP for?

Thanks, -Michael

*There are instructions that come with the amp on how to set it. *I have never had to replace a FRQ or FQ motor, or any motor on a Fuji for that matter.I highly doubt the motor is bad. *The meshing check sensor verifies that the clutch is engaging correctly with the crown on the shaft.
