GSM 2 image not appearing on cameras | 1 March, 2013

We currently have a problem with our Universal GSM 2. A part ins presented to the front or back camera but there is no image of the component. Just a dark screen, even though the light system is working. Any ideas on what the problem may be? I suspect the vision files need to be reloaded, the machine was off line for a few weeks without power. Also, we don't the the vision files for us to load. But would like to hear from GSM users that have experience a similar problem. Thanks in advance.

Which vision does your machine have? I guess it is Lantern 630 or 640? Is there any text in the vision window after boot?

Deni, it is a 630 and there is text in the window, just no image of the component or anything else that is brought to the camera. It doesn't time out at all, it just moves the way it would when inspecting a component on test mode.

630 vision has it's firmware downloaded from file every time you boot the machine. If you get the welcome screen it is most likely loaded correctly. Which software does your machinge run on and which cameras do you have installed?

Also check that the vision diagnostic level is not set to 0 by accident. System Setup -> Machine -> Configuration -> Parameters -> Setup then go to vision setup page, if available.
