Entry level turn key system

We are thinking of getting a small pcb assembly setup for a small manufacturing co-op here in Los Angeles. Our experience consist of manual soldering of through hole and smt components.

A quick search suggests that there are a few turn key options available. If possible we prefer an automatic pick and place. It will mostly for prototyping and small batch runs (50pc or less).

What's a realistic budget to setup it all up? and any recommendation for vendors? How much extra budge should we allocate besides the initial equipment purchase?
