Humiseal 1A33 Gel with Nordson SC400 Valve | 25 November, 2013

Hello @ the specialists,

we have a Nordson Asymtek SL940 to coat our pcb's. We can use the valves SC100 and SC400 for conformal coating applications. We use the Humiseal 1A33 as the conformal coating. Now we would like to use the standard 1A33 in the SC100 and the 1A33 Gel in the SC400 to avoid problems with the capillary forces on some connectors. Our problem: If we use the gel in the SC400 we have the problem, that the gel runs into some connectors.

My question to you all: 1. Does someone of you also use the 1A33 gel (or a other gel) in combination with the SC400?

2. Does anybody have some tips for me to avoid the capillary flow into connectors?

3. What is your experience with the 1A33 Gel?

I'm looking forward to your answers! Hopefully someone can help me.

Best regards, Mike

Dear Mike, I've forwarded your question to the experts at Nordson ASYMTEK. I believe most of the team are on leave for the holidays, but hopefully we'll have an answer for you next week. Thanks!

Nordson ASYMTEK engineers are familiar with the regular 1A33 but the gel is a relatively new product. Its purpose is to prevent the exact problem you are describing. Can you provide us a phone number so we can discuss in person? You can send the phone number to: info@nordsonasymtek.com.
