Nichrome, manganin, phosphor bronze etc are easy to solder ... the hard part is removing the corrosion * Manganin: 86% copper, 12% manganese, 2% nickel. Often, it's used in making cryogenic measurements, due to its low heat loss. * Select a flux for soldering stainless steel, kovar or nickel * All of the bigboy solder suppliers [eg, Superior, Indium, Alpha, etc] have products that will work * Choose a water soluble, rather than a low residue flux. Make sure you clean it well. Your flux supplier will have suggestions if you cannot use water. * If this is a cryogenic application, minimize the amount of solder on the connection to the manganin wire
