Zevatech FS710 for 0603 assembly | 10 February, 2015

We have the possibility to buy a used Zevatech FS710 pick&place machine with vision. I've read that these machines used to be very well built but I'm wondering if it's capable to place 0603 parts accurately since it lacks a laser-type alignment AFAIK. We also have to place some 0.5mm QFN's but I think vision will help us do this task.

I'm also thinking that buying all the 0603 cartridges we need will probably cost more than the machine. I've seen some refurbished cartridges for the Zevatech family over $300 each.

Is anyone here (still) using a similar machine for 0603 assemblies? Any recommendation?
